Naturopathic Nutrition
Naturopathic Nutrition combines the sciences of biochemistry and nutrition with natural therapies and lifestyle changes which can impact your health in a positive and sustainable way.
Using food as medicine and with the same holistic principles as Naturopathy*, a Nutritional therapist aims to work with the person as a whole, addressing the underlying imbalances that may be affecting health, rather than just managing symptoms.
Recommendations are personalised to fit each person’s unique needs, considering their symptoms, lifestyle, habits, ethics and food preferences.
Where necessary, advice may be combined with a programme of supplements, herbs or natural remedies aimed at addressing any imbalances.
Please complete this questionnaire at least 72 hours prior to your Nutritional therapy appointment.
Here are just some of the benefits of using nutrition and lifestyle to support your wellbeing:
Enhanced energy levels
Stronger immune system
Reduced risk of chronic disease
Weight management
Improved mood and cognitive function
Stress and anxiety reduction
Personal empowerment
What to expect before, during, and after a consultation
Before: you will need to complete a pre-questionnaire about your health, symptoms and goals.
During: the therapist will
- assess a food diary and identify potential nutritional imbalances
- take a medical history and discuss current health picture
- ask questions about how various body systems are functioning e.g. digestion and immunity
- factor in any medication and supplements you might be taking
After: you will receive your personalised food and lifestyle plan, which you can follow making one sustainable change at a time.
